About the UC Davis Women's Rugby Club Team:
Since it's establishment in the fall of 1997, the UC Davis Women's Rugby Team has been a dominating force in the Northern California Rugby Football Union (NCRFU). Matches against Stanford, UC Berkeley, Humboldt State, Chico State, and the University of Nevada-Reno determine the Aggie's standing in their Division I league. In 2008, the UC Davis Women's Rugby Team went 4-1, losing only to Chico State but beating the Stanford Cardinals and therefore earning a second place finish in the league. A high seed helped the Aggies demolish UCLA at the Sweet Sixteens in Albuquerque, New Mexico. However, a narrow loss to Brown in the Elite Eight knocked UC Davis out of the playoffs.
