The UC Davis WaterSki Team
was founded 40
years ago. Every year our team competes in
two tournament seasons: one in the fall where teams compete to make it
to the
national competition and the other in the spring where individuals get
their
chance to qualify for the chance to represent their region in the all
star
tournament. At a tournament there are
three events: slalom, trick, and jump. We
have access
to practice 5 days a week at Bell Aqua
Lakes
in Rio Linda (about 30 minutes away from the UC Davis campus). In the fall of 2007 our team qualified for
nationals for the first time in 5 years and traveled to Baton Rouge, Louisiana
to represent the West Coast region. At
nationals the team placed second in Division Two. We
hold tryouts every fall and spring so if any one is
interested feel
free to email any of our officers. We accept any level as long as
you have a good attitude and are willing to learn. Our
team is about having fun on and off the water and hanging out with some
the
greatest people UC Davis has to offer! |
